Who we are

Passline is built and run by Thoughtgears Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16305082, incorporated 10 March 2025) and registered for VAT. We're the data controller for the information this policy describes. If you have a question or a request, email support@passline.uk. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. See also our terms of use.

What we collect, and when

Passline has no accounts, no passwords, no sign-in and no payments. The tools run in your browser and nothing you enter or record in them is sent to us. The only information we receive is anonymous usage measurement.

DataWhenWhyLawful basisRetention
Anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, page-load performance, device and browser type)Always, as you use the siteTo see which pages and tools are used and whether the site is fastLegitimate interestsHeld by Cloudflare under its standard retention for Web Analytics
Google Analytics usage dataOnly if you click "Accept" on the cookie bannerAdditional analytics on top of the aboveConsentGoogle's default retention period for this property. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Measurement and cookies")

We never ask for your name, email address, address, date of birth or any special-category data (health conditions, for example), even though the site talks about fitness tests.

Measurement and cookies

We use two ways of measuring how Passline is used. Neither sets a tracking cookie, and only one needs your consent.

1. Cloudflare Web Analytics — always on, no consent needed

Cloudflare's own privacy-friendly analytics, run from the network Passline is hosted on. It's cookieless by design and doesn't identify you individually.

2. Google Analytics — only after you say yes

We use Google Analytics 4 with Google's Consent Mode v2. Analytics is switched off by default: no Google cookie is set and no data reaches Google until you click "Accept" on the banner. Your choice (accept or decline) is saved in your own browser's local storage. We don't see it on our server, so the banner won't ask again on that device until you clear your browser data. You can change your mind at any time by clearing that storage, which brings the banner back.

What stays on your device

Your browser keeps a small amount of information for the site to work. None of it is sent to us.

  • Your cookie-banner choice (see above).
  • Whether you dismissed the "install Passline" prompt, so it doesn't keep asking.
  • Saved copies of the tool pages, so the bleep test and other tools still work with no signal. You can clear these in your browser's site settings.

Links to our apps

Some pages link to our iPhone apps on the App Store. Following a link takes you to Apple, which has its own privacy policy. The link carries a campaign label so that Apple's App Store analytics can show us which page sent you. It doesn't contain anything about you.

Where your data lives

Passline is served from Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare Web Analytics data is held by Cloudflare. If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics also receives anonymised usage data, never before you accept, and retained for Google's default retention period for this property.

Earlier versions of Passline

Earlier versions of Passline offered a paid training plan with an email sign-in link. That has been withdrawn and the site no longer takes emails or payments. If you used it and want to know what, if anything, we still hold about you, or want it deleted, email support@passline.uk.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • See what we hold about you — email support@passline.uk and we'll send you a copy.
  • Delete your data — email us and we'll do it.
  • Correct or object — email us and we'll fix or discuss it.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first — email support@passline.uk.

Children

Passline is not aimed at children. You need to be at least 16 years old to use it.

  • 1 November 2026 — removed accounts, email sign-in and payments, which no longer exist, and removed our own usage measurement.
  • 8 September 2026 — first published.
