Who we are

Passline is built and run by Thoughtgears Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16305082, incorporated 10 March 2025) and registered for VAT. What Passline is — and isn't

Passline is a set of free fitness-test tools, led by a bleep test, and the UK uniformed-service fitness standards they are measured against (police, Army, RAF, Royal Navy and prison service). Every standard is reproduced from an official source, checked on the date shown on that page. See our methodology page for how, and where a figure is still unsettled between sources. Everything on the site is free and needs no account.

Passline is not medical advice, and using it is not a substitute for professional guidance. A maximal fitness test carries real risk — if you have a medical condition, speak to your GP before you attempt one.

Passline is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any police force, the Ministry of Defence, the Royal Navy, the British Army, the Royal Air Force, any fire and rescue service or HM Prison Service. Services change their own fitness standards from time to time — always check your service's official page or your recruiter before relying on a figure for anything important.

Using the tools safely

The bleep test and other tools push you toward a maximal effort. Use them somewhere safe — flat, clear ground, good footwear, enough space to run — and stop if something feels wrong. If you have a medical condition, or you're not sure whether a maximal test is safe for you, speak to your GP first. Passline can't see or judge your physical condition; that judgement is always yours.

Acceptable use

Please don't try to break, overload, scrape at scale or reverse engineer Passline, and don't use the site for anything unlawful. We may block use that looks like abuse.

Our liability

We provide Passline with reasonable care and skill, and we work hard to keep the standards on it accurate — but the site and its content are provided "as is", and we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a specific purpose of yours. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude — and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer or otherwise. Subject to that, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost training time or a missed test date), whether arising from the tools or from a standard that later turns out to have changed.

Ending and changes

You can stop using Passline at any time — there's nothing to cancel. We may suspend or end access for someone who breaches these terms, for example by abusing the service. We may update these terms as Passline changes; we'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use Passline after a change means you accept the update.

• 1 November 2026 — Passline is now entirely free. Removed the terms for the paid plan, plan links and refunds.
